16 major oil and gas companies are now signatories to Aiming for Zero. They recognize that virtually all methane emissions from the oil and gas industry can and should be avoided and striving to do what is needed to get to near zero methane emissions by 2030. Together, the companies represent around 30% of global oil and gas production.
42 supporting organizations also pledged their support towards the implementation and expansion of the Initiative. Aiming for Zero’s supporters – including services companies, technology players and others working along the oil and gas value chain – represent hundreds of thousands of employees, who believe in establishing an all-in approach that treats methane emissions as seriously as the oil and gas industry already treats safety.
