Flare to Value
Welcome to the F2V website. I am Frigyes Lestak, CEO and founding partner of F2V. F2V is a waste gas recovery company with a focus on the oil and gas industry. Our mission is to help our customers achieve their net zero targets. We provide a fast-track flare gas recovery service that requires zero capital investment from our customers. We repurpose recovered waste gas to create both economic value and improved energy security, while also reducing CO2 and methane emissions. Please do contact us, whether you are an operator, investor, technology vendor or simply are interested in what we do.
We deliver a fast-track flare gas recovery service that requires zero capital investment from our customers. We receive waste gas, that otherwise would be burned in flares, and return useful products or energy. In order to provide this service, we develop, finance, build, own, and operate our flare gas capture and conversion facilities.
The oil and gas industry burns 140 billion cubic meters of gas year after year from 16,000 flares around the world. To put it into perspective, this amount of gas burned would be enough to heat 45 million homes. Flaring gas is not only a waste of resources it is polluting. These flares emit CO2 and Methane and hence contribute to climate change. Not only is this having a substantial impact on our environment, it is an avoidable waste of valuable energy resources.
In 2015, governments and oil companies around the world committed to eliminate routine flaring by 2030. To achieve this, the flat trend needs to change radically, thousands of projects will need to be developed and hundreds of billions of dollars invested by the end of the decade; a formidable challenge that requires truly innovative solutions. F2V is one of them.
